Graphene batteries will have 5x the cycle charge.
Graphene Batteries "...will have an energy density of 1,000 Wh/kg (for comparison, lithium batteries generally have a energy density of 180 Wh/kg)."

To Mars... Together!
A first step towards thin and lighter solar panels. Introducing transparent solar panels!
Solar panels built into glass
NASA releases patent technologies to public domain! Among all the awesome things that NASA released, the biggest breakthrough for the public is carbon nanotubes at a cheaper price!
"Low-cost methods for manufacturing high-quality carbon nanotubes, with an estimated production cost of $50/gram (opposed to current costs of $1,000/gram)"
http://futurism.com/jackpot-nasa-just-released-56-patented-technologies-public-domain/
This means that more small companies can take advantage of big research and use the tech in more interesting ways. Its going to be exciting to see what people will use carbon nanotubes for.
